Hackers Hacking 300%+ More Than Usual – Stop Clicking On Things

Posted on April 22, 2020April 23, 2020

Did you know? Instances of cybercrime appear to have jumped by as much as 300 percent since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the FBI. Read more about it here.

As many of you Fortifiers of Data know, cybercrime has been on the rise for quite some time, and it’s not necessarily surprising that cyber-criminals, hackers, and nefarious entities would see the COVID-19 Pandemic as a great opportunity to exploit companies while they are weak.

300% is a scary statistic. It’s more important now than ever to make sure that you and your company has good policies in place to protect and (more importantly) fortify your data. Always take a good look at what you are clicking on, and make sure you know who you are talking to. For those in your organization you can’t trust when it comes to clicking on things, silo their access to that which is most important.

Stay safe out there friends.
